10-Day Contract Calculator
10-day contracts are short-term contracts that give teams flexibility (a common use for example, is to fill a roster that is short due to injury). A team is limited to signing a respective player to two 10-day contracts per season. 10-day contracts become available as of January 5th each season.
A 10-day contract spans the longer of:
- 10 calendar days, or
- 3 games
The salary of a ten-day contract is calculated by multiplying the players minimum salary for their respective years of service by the number of days the contract spans (usually 10) and dividing by the total number of days in the season
